KEEPING IT LOCAL... Our suppliers
As part of our keeping it local initiative, we try and source, as far as possible, our ingredients locally. Obviously, cocoa beans and chocolate does prove to be a problem! But it is amazing how many other ingredients can actually be sourced on your doorstep once you start looking. Here is a selection of our suppliers who either produce high quality produce or are local independant suppliers.Click the links on the left and read about them.
We take great care in sourcing our ingredients, so much so, we go to great efforts to grow nearly all of our own flowers and herbs to infuse flavour into our chocolates. Safe in the knowledge we know where our ingredients come from, how old they are, and how they have been grown. We source other ingredients from our local community of producers at Farmers markets in the heart of the East Midlands.
NORTHERN TEA COMPANY...
Is long established company on the edges of the Peak District. They have carried out their own roasting of Organic Coffees for the last 14 years and have the Soil Association's UK5 processor licence AND the Organic Food Federation's UK4 processor licence; as well as being licensed Fairtrade importers. A company, which has its traditions, steeped in family history it’s a real joy to pop into their shop in Chesterfield and talk to people passionate and knowledgeable about what they do.
